La Cote (or Half-way down on the left)
This blog aims to record our project to breathe new life into an old house in rural France which has not been lived in year round for many years.
We've been here for exactly a month now and so we thought that it was high time we started writing a blog to record some of things we are doing to bring La Cote back to life. Here's the new wood pile that Ali helped me create - now all we've got to do is to cut them into a suitable size for burning on the fire/woodburner in the winter!

ReplyDeleteI'd recommend you get a splitting axe from this firm:
ReplyDeletewww.gransfors.com. Blacksmith made, properly balanced; you can keep going all day.
I second that emotion of gransfors axes. I have a small forest axe of theirs and it's razor sharp. I'll bring it down with me when we come.
