Very cold weather, with no telephone or internet

Apologies for the interruption to normal service...we have been experiencing some very unusually cold weather (up to -12 centigrade, sometimes during the day).  It was a lovely surprise at first to see snow at La Cote for the first time, but unfortunately it also brought down our phone line with also serves as our internet connection and so we had to wait for France Telecom/Orange to send an engineer to reconnect us.
